DOTHAN, Ala. - Alabama High School Athletic Association Director of Officials Ken Washington says he is attempting all recruiting efforts to get referees on the sidelines for Friday night Football . More than 45 high school s across the state teach classes now to get that extra help.
17 games alone this week were moved due to weather or shortages. Washington said in most small towns like Flomaton or Florala the need for help is seen most. He added, “The goal is to not move games to Saturdays. We want to keep the tradition because that’s what everybody talks about, Friday night football”.
