An AI model named Grok was asked to predict the future of Nottingham in 2050, suggesting significant changes to the city's landscape and infrastructure.

We asked AI what Nottingham will look like in 2050 and there could be some pretty huge changes on the way. Artificial intelligence is becoming a bigger part of our lives with each passing day. Most of us will carry some form of AI around with us in our pockets every day in the shape of a mobile phone - even if we don't realise it. Its accuracy and understanding of the world seem to improve all the time and we're guessing it's only a matter of time before we are served a pint or meal by a robot.

We decided to try put X's new AI model Grok to the test by asking it what Nottingham could like in 2050.and the NET tram networkcould look like in 25 years' time. Grok AI said:'Predicting what Nottingham or any city will be like in 2050 involves a lot of speculation based on current trends, technological advancements, environmental policies, and socio-economic developments.' Old Market Square could look very different. New fountains too, presumably they've been switched off to save a few quid.
