A former district attorney has accused the judge of 'slow walking and no walking' Trump's classified documents trial.
Judge Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over Donald Trump's classified documents case at the District Court for the Southern District of Florida, has been accused of indulging theories from the former president's defense team that 'don't have legal basis.'Harry Litman, a former U.S. attorney, made the accusation during an interview with CNN on Saturday.
'As an example, Litman referenced a hearing Cannon held on an argument recently put forward by Trump's legal team that the appointment of Jack Smith as special counsel, which gives him authority over the classified documents investigation, was unconstitutional.Newsweek contacted the District Court for the Southern District of Florida for comment by telephone and voicemail message outside usual business hours.Litman continued: 'It's a very open and shut case.
