An air ambulance crashed in Philadelphia on Friday night, killing one person on the ground and all six people on board, including a child and her mother. The Mexican President expressed condolences, and the Philadelphia mayor confirmed the ground fatality. The number of injured may rise, she added. “When an incident like this happens, it’s shocking and surprising,” Mr Gold told The Associated Press. “All of the aircraft are maintained, not a penny is spared because we know our mission is so critical.”
On Wednesday night, an American Airlines jet carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided in mid-air in Washington, DC, with an Army helicopter carrying three soldiers. There were no survivors. The crash happened less than three miles from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, which primarily serves business jets and charter flights.
