Dunkirk Lane is closed in both directions from the junction of School Road to Schleswig wayPolice, paramedics and the air ambulance are at the scene on Dunkirk Lane in the Moss Side area of Leyland. The incident was first reported shortly after 1.30pm today .
The road is closed in both directions with slow traffic between School Lane and Schleswig Way. Police are advising motorists to use alternative routes and 'avoid the area'.South Ribble Police tweeted: "We are currently at the scene of a road closure on Dunkirk Lane, from the junction of School Road to Schleswig way. The road is closed due to a road traffic collision. Please find alternative routes and avoid the area if possible."This is a live blog.

Charles Ogletree, longtime legal and civil rights scholar at Harvard Law School, dies at 70Law professor and civil rights scholar Charles J. Ogletree Jr. has died after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was 70. Ogletree had a distinguished career at Harvard Law School.
