BREAKING: Air ambulance lands in south Manchester as woman injured after heavy duty equipment falls from trailer
An air ambulance landed in south Manchester on Tuesday afternoon as a woman was left injured after heavy duty equipment fell from a trailer. Emergency services scrambled to the scene, on Anson Road shortly before 2pm.
The injuries the woman sustained are not thought to be life threatening, police have said. The road closure caused heavy congestion and delays in the area, with bus routes diverted. It is not yet known whether the casualty was taken to hospital via road ambulance or the air ambulance that landed nearby. Heavy duty equipment is understood to have fallen from a trailer, injuring the woman in the process.
