The Diamonds are in desperate need of a win and the defender says there's no better game for them to get firing again
Craig Watson says Airdrie must right the wrongs of their last meeting with Ayr today and end their hoodoo against the Honest Men.
Since then, the sides have experienced hugely contrasting fortunes with Airdrie rock bottom of the Championship and without a win in their last eight league games, while Scott Brown’s side are in title contention with Falkirk and Livingston.The defender said: “If ever there was a time to get the monkey off the back, Ayr is the game to do it in. They have been a real bogey team for us over the past year and a half.
“It has been a very frustrating time because we are showing glimpses of what we can play like, but we just haven’t put teams to the sword when we’ve had the chance. “It is still so incredibly tight and it is still early in the season, but actions speak louder than words. We need to get more points under our belts as soon as possible.”
