The Diamonds comfortably saw off Queen of the South with a 3-0 victory
Rhys McCabe reckons Airdrie are getting back to their pre-season best, following a 3-0 SPFL Trust Trophy win at Queen of the South.
McCabe was pleased with the win and performance in Dumfries, as his side gears up for a clash at home to Falkirk next weekend.“We were comfortable winners in the end, and I thought we showed signs of early on in pre-season and the Premier Sports Cup fixtures when we were doing really well. “I addressed a few wee things at half-time, and then in the second half we looked much more aggressive and comfortable in dealing with that.
But Airdrie doubled their lead in 64 minutes when Mochrie picked up a neat ball from Cammy Bruce and finished well past Hogarth.
