Driver fined after parking on hard shoulder 'waiting for relative to land' at Manchester Airport
A driver who stopped on the hard shoulder while they were 'waiting for a relative' to land at Manchester Airport has been fined.
When confronted by the police, the driver said they were 'waiting for a relative to land' at the airport nearby. They were issued with a penalty notice due to motorway regulations being enforced.Greater Manchester Police shared a picture of the Audi after it had been spotted by traffic officers. GMP Traffic wrote: "Hard shoulder offence at the Airport spur. M56 motorway regulations in force. Waiting for relative to land at the airport. Various parking areas locally.
