Airport bosses are hoping to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion with a new barrier-free system using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. The system will eliminate the need for parking barriers, starting with the Elmdon multi-storey car park in February 2024 and the drop-off facilities in Spring 2025.
