Metro RTA said it’s never the bus driver’s decision to deny anyone a ride.
“The bus driver had told my daughter you can’t get the bus with her acting like that,” said Julie Bohoff , Valerie ’s grandmother.
Valerie always gets chips inside the center at the café, but it was closed on Sunday and Bohoff said she had a meltdown. Valerie’s mom, Chelsea, explained to the driver Valerie is autistic. However, the driver said “no” and pulled off.
