Aksyon Demokratiko Chairman Ernest Ramel on Wednesday, Nov. 2, said the political party was saddened by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto’s resignation.
“He is one [of] the inspirations of the party to be better and we were hoping that he will be the future of Aksyon Demokratiko,” Ramel said in a statement.
Ramel confirmed to the Manila Bulletin that Sotto had resigned from the party effective June 30, but they only got hold of his letter in late July. The Aksyon Demokratiko chairman, meanwhile, said Sotto would still be welcomed if he decided to return to the party.
