One resident, who identified herself as Sherry, asked during a Sylacauga City Council meeting last week how the city was vetting these newcomers. She alleged the migrants’ works visas were for factories located outside Sylacauga. Another resident, identifying himself as David Phillips, called the attitude of the council “entirely unacceptable.”
