The acting and comedy duo will reunite in a special edition of STV’s Scotland Tonight on Thursday evening.
Scottish acting and comedy legends Alan Cumming and Forbes Masson will reunite for their first TV interview in 17-years. Appearing on a special edition of STV's Scotland Tonight, the interview will catch up with the pair who shot to fame in the 1980s as double act Victor & Barry.
Scotland Tonight: What Ever Happened to Victor & Barry? will air on Thursday, September 7 at 8.30 pm and will see presenter Rona Dougall sit down with the pair at Glasgow’s iconic Tron Theatre. The pair are set to discuss their comedy beginnings, how Victor & Barry inspired their later BBC sitcom The High Life, and whether or not they’d ever bring the much-loved ‘Kelvinside Men’ back to the stage or screen.
As the pair spoke to Rona about the roaring popularity Victor & Barry had with Scottish viewers, Alan said: "They did. It’s so fascinating – of all the things I’ve done over the last 75,000 years, it’s always Victor & Barry or The High Life that people connect with when I come back here, and actually all over the world.
"I think it’s so interesting that something from so long ago – something that is so totally organic to who we are and where we came from – is what people love you most for. Something that really came from your heart."Discussing whether they'd ever bring the characters back, the pair weren't so sure. Forbes said: "I don’t think so."I think we’re still on the fence about it.
