In a newly released five-minute video, the former radio broadcaster says he wants to resume hosting duties but can’t due to a recent health diagnosis.

Alan Jones has returned to Australia after an extended stay in London amid a string of indecent assault allegations, claiming poor health has kept him from returning to broadcasting.mastheads on Sunday evening, the 82-year-old former radio broadcaster said he had planned to resume hosting duties at his online site ADH TV in mid-February but could not due to a recent health diagnosis. He last appeared on ADH TV in November 2023.

Jones flagged his intention to resume his role at ADH TV but said his health needed to take priority. Jones said he sought urgent medical attention last weekend “to address traumatic pain, among other things,” with his doctors describing his overall health as “poor”. Two specialist detectives later met the schoolboy and his principal at his high school in Wollongong, south of Sydney. The detectives later came to his house, where he provided a statement alleging he had just turned 17 when he was invited to spend a weekend at Jones’ Fitzroy Falls property in January 2017.
