Shadow Transport Minister Bridget McKenzie says outgoing Qantas CEO Alan Joyce was “doing his very best” not to answer questions from Senators about the airline and paying back Australians’ hard-earned cash in a Senate inquiry. “About his own bonuses, how he can somehow set up this very cozy deal where he’s able to kick off into the never-never, his bonuses being paid until Qantas is actually making a profit,” she told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “Some of the other lines of questioning I was pursuing were around the slot entry into particularly Sydney Airport.”
