Wong has worked at the SeaLife Center since 2021, when she became the facility’s chief science and education officer, according to theWei Ying Wong Wong previously worked in executive roles at Washington Sea Grant, Woodland Park Zoo and the Philadelphia Zoo, the SeaLife Center said. The organization’s president and CEO for the last 11 years, Dr. Tara Riemer, announced in September that she would step down. Riemer helped the SeaLife Center raise the $2 million during the pandemic asThe board of directors conducted a national search before selecting Wong for the position, the organization said.
