The most high profile figures of the Yes and No Voice to Parliament referendum campaigns spent Saturday rallying their respective supporters with stirring speeches.
In Brisbane, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was telling Labor members at the ALP national conference to"campaign like you have never campaigned before".
"Labor... are putting up a pretty bad proposal and using emotional blackmail and good vibes... to get 97 per cent of the country to feel like they're passing judgement on three per cent of the country and that is just wrong," she said. "We have a message of unity. We have a message of one Australia that can improve together. The score might be in our favour but the match is far from over.
October 14 has been widely reported as the referendum date, although Mr Albanese is yet to confirm when the vote to change the constitution will be held. "I want you to get out there and campaign like you have never campaigned before. Explain what the clear question is before the Australian people," the Prime Minister said.
