A rail replacement coach has crashed into a bridge, with one passenger describing how she was left covered in debris.
The bus from Shrewsbury to Wolverhampton hit a low bridge near Albrighton Station, just hours after a landslip on the busy line.Nobody was injured in the incident, which happened at about 19:00 GMT on Saturday.Pictures showed what appeared to be smashed glass scattered through the aisle after it rained down on passengers.The line had been due to shut for planned works on Saturday and Sunday.
But it now faces issues until the end of the month after the landslip between Oakengates and Wellington stations in Shropshire. Network Rail said that approximately 5,000 tonnes of material had slipped beneath a 50-metre section of the railway after persistent heavy rainfall over the winter months weakened the earthwork beneath it.
