Aldi said that overall feedback for its self-checkouts are 'overwhelmingly positive'
Aldi customers have been warned that they could be being charged more than they expect due to an issue with self-checkout machines.
It comes following a report from The Mirror that Aldi shoppers have been complaining over the issue on Facebook. Teresa Ashman wrote: “Just a share, if you have self checkout stores near you, avoid using if you are buying reduced products, the checkouts don’t automatically pick up the discounted prices, a Store Assistant needs to input a code for each reduced item.”
Dave Webster added: “Unfortunately the till doesn’t recognise the discount sticker/ Next time ask the staff on the self service checkout and they will sort it for you/ If you go back into store they will refund the difference for you.”
