Aldi is rolling out a change across its 990 UK stores in an effort to help the environment
All milk sold by the retailer will now brand colourless caps to make them easier to recycle. Full fat, skimmed and low fat are distinguishable by their blue, green and red colour caps and this will remain across each types' labels.
Rolling out colourless caps will allow a staggering 200 tonnes of High-Density Polythene that make up the tops to be reused to make new milk bottles. Aldi bosses hope the change will prompt shoppers to change their recycling habits.
