WARNING: Aldi recalls puff pastries over fears they can make you sick

ALDI is recalling cheese and onion pastries because they contain allergens which are not listed on the label.

The discounter said its supplier is recalling the slices because they contains mustard and barley, both of which are not listed in the ingredients. The affected products are made by Crestwood, and the batch number to look out for is 707602.If you have a mustard or barley allergy then you shouldn't eat the slices.

Barley contains gluten, so the product shouldn't be eaten by anyone who has coeliac disease or who is intolerant to the allergen. Aldi is recalling the product from customers and been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which should also tell their members about the recall. You can return the products to your nearest store for a full refund. If you've got your receipt, take it along, but you should be able to get your money back without one. That's not the only recall that customers need to be aware of this week.Mars said that there was a genetically modified organism in an ingredient produced by a supplier.Mars added that it doesn't use GMOs in any of their products in Europe.
