The budget-friendly retailer is known for its savage comebacks and Iceland was the latest to face its tongue-in-cheek wrath after announcing plans to trademark its King Prawn Ring
Aldi has delivered another sharp-witted retort after rival grocer Iceland laid claim to one of its well-known products by filing a copyright application.
The dispute between the retail giants was resolved via a "confidential agreement" outside the courtroom. Amid the fallout, Aldi amused the public with witty social media posts about the legal proceedings. The retailer added its lawyers were prepared to take action, prompting a flurry of reactions and comments on social media. However, it was Aldi's response which stole the show, with a simple comment: "Lol our lawyers aren't scared of nothing."
