Aldi has currentley gathered over seven million meals to donate nationwide in 2023
Struggling families across Greater Manchester have been handed a life-line by supermarket bosses - with a whopping 48,000 meals donated during the school holidays.
An incredible 35 MILLION meals have been donated across the country since the project began in 2019. Seven million have been donated nationwide this year alone.Mum-of-two Rachel Nguyen, a frequent shopper at Aldi in Gorton said: "I think it's so important Aldi is donating to different communities. People are struggling nowadays and it's becoming obvious.
Liz Fox, corporate responsibility director at Aldi UK, said: "The school holidays are always an incredibly hard time for households across the country, made even worse by the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
