The unexpected product launch has divided the internet - some shoppers appear to be outraged
Christmas is the season for guilty pleasures, and supermarkets are frantically stocking up on yuletide delicacies to share with loved ones.
The unusual offering caught the eye of one customer last week who shared a snap of it online with the caption: "Merry Chreaster ya filthy animal." Aldi got in on the fun, sharing the post themselves and commenting: "Babe what's wrong you've hardly touched your Chreaster egg".The surprise release has left the internet torn with certain consumers expressing disdain at Aldi's latest Christmas confectionery, the M.E.N reports.
Another Aldi fan said: "I love Aldi, just when you think they can't do better. This is so cursed I actually love it."
