This success follows Aldi's victory at the 2024 World Steak Challenge, where they won more awards than Waitrose or M&S.
Aldi’s steak range has been named the best in the country, beating off competition from Waitrose and M&S. The supermarket chain’s award-winning Wagyu Tomahawk claimed the top spot at this year’s Quality Food Awards , being named Christmas Product of the Year. The discount store prides its main dishes on its “intricately marbled and juicy texture,” claiming it proves “shoppers don’t need to break the bank to create an elevated dining experience.
It comes just after the range, as a whole, came out on top at the 2024 World Steak Challenge - with the supermarket winning more awards than Waitrose or M&S. The store took home three gold medals and 11 medals overall at the toughly fought contest to find the nation’s best steak. Aldi’s Specially Selected British Wagyu Fillet Steak secured a gold accolade in the fillet steak category.
