Aldi have branded the Cadbury's Freddo an 'overpriced amphibian' after it's alternative product Deeno the Dinosaur was praised on social media for it's 'bargain' price
The days when you could step into your local shop with £1 and walk out with sugary treats galore have long since passed — but the inflation of one chocolate treat always gets Brits in a tizz.
Aldi have offered their shoppers a cheaper alternative in the form of a dinosaur named Deeno. The snack bars come in a pack of 10 for just £1.99 at the budget-friendly supermarket and were praised by fans online. However, one shopper made the error of pitting Deeno and Freddo against one another in a battle of the budget as she asked for a caramel version, which Freddo also has.
X users were left in hysterics over the gaff and even vowed to try out Aldi's dinos to see how they compare.
