It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... as a stint of festive adverts are released by our favourite supermarkets, including Aldi who have welcomed back Kevin the Carrot
The countdown to Christmas has officially begun as our favourite supermarkets release a stint of festive adverts, bringing back some of the iconic characters.
If you haven't already guessed, the advert is inspired by Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as five lucky winners excitedly wait to enter the other side of the Aldi gates. Accompanied by Grate Grandpa, Kevin explores the festive goodie-filled factory where he comes across all sorts of mischief.
After passing the hidden test and being gifted the cheese to the factor, in a heartwarming moment Kevin asks the question: "Can I share my good fortune with everyone?". The Aldi advert finishes with the message: "Seasonal goodwill was truly in the air as Christmas is a time that’s sweeter when you share", while a crowd of characters cheer joyfully with the likes of Ebanana Scrooge and Marcus Raddishford.
"It wouldn’t be the festive season without Kevin the Carrot on our TV screens; we know our shoppers will love seeing him getting into the Christmas spirit as we welcome him back for his eighth year with us."
