Filipino-American gymnast Aleah Finnegan will proudly carry the colors of the Philippines as she makes her Olympic debut in Paris later this month.Finnegan is one of the four gymnasts who will represent the country in the Summer Games as they hope to get the Philippines' first Olympic medal for the sport.She will join fellow Fil-Ams Emma Malabuyo and Levi Ruivivar in the women's artistic gymnastics event.
"It was just one of those moments that you really just hold onto forever," Finnegan told JP Soriano in his 24 Oras report last April 18."Just being up there on the podium, watching the Filipino flag rise as the anthem plays... My mom was sitting there in the audience and I got to hug her and embrace her for a few minutes. I was crying, she was crying, we’re very emotional family but I just felt so honored to be able to represent that flag.
