A New Mexico judge has denied Alec Baldwin's bid to throw out his criminal case following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
In a recent development, attorneys for US actor Alec Baldwin have spoken out stating "we look forward to our day in court" after their attempt to have the actor's criminal case dismissed was denied by a judge.
"It is therefore ordered that defendant Alec Baldwin's motion to dismiss the indictment is hereby denied," wrote Judge Marlowe Sommer as her ruling concluded. Rust armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was handed this same sentence after a jury found her guilty of identical charges. An appeal notice has been filed by Gutierrez-Reed's defence lawyer.
"This is a homicide case, prosecutors are required to do better than this. This indictment should be dismissed," he contended.
