BGT's Alesha Dixon flabbergasted as she 'knows act really well' from Mis-Teeq days
As the latest series of Britain’s Got Talent got underway on Saturday, judge Alesha Dixon was treated to a surprising blast from the past, as she realised she and one of this year’s hopefuls already knew each other.
The choir was made up of singers from ages 3 to 83 and was introduced to the audience by auditionee Gemma who explained she helped to create choir along with her husband Howard. Gemma then introduced her husband Howard, who was the group’s pianist, before Alesha interjected: "I actually know Howard very well.”"He used to play for Miss-Teeq," Alesha, admitted, as she explained the connection to her noughties girlband past.
Yet in a surprising twist, mid-way through the performance, a voice began to sing from within the audience itself, before a large number of singers stood up from the crowd to belt out the song.
