Alex Marquez, riding for Gresini, experienced a late surge in form during the final rounds of the 2024 MotoGP season. He attributes this success to reverting to pre-season testing settings on his Ducati GP23 bike.
Alex Marquez attributes his strong performances in the final MotoGP rounds of 2024 to his Gresini team reverting to pre-season testing settings. Marquez, who switched from Honda to Ducati in 2023, had a challenging season adapting to the GP23 bike. Although he achieved occasional podiums and two sprint wins in 2023, he struggled initially with the GP23 's performance.
However, by returning to the base settings used in pre-season testing, Marquez felt more comfortable and closer to the bike's potential, culminating in back-to-back fourth-place finishes in Malaysia and Barcelona. While he finished eighth in the championship standings, behind his brother Marc Marquez, who secured third place, Alex Marquez looks forward to inheriting the improved GP24 for the 2025 season
