But the German must also contend with a considerable elephant in the room, a trial for domestic violence in Berlin that is due to start on Friday.
Zverev is not required to attend and does not expect that to change, and strongly denies the accusations made by his ex-girlfriend. He has also called the allegations “complete bullshit” while his lawyers described the proceedings as “scandalous” because they believe Zverev could not possibly be given a fair trial.
