Erling Haaland reached 100 goals for Manchester City this weekend - but the striker may stick to his plan of leaving the club by 2026.
The Norwegian striker joined City in 2022 and the club are eager to offer him a new deal, with his current one reportedly containing a £175million release clause for club's outside England. However, Haaland initially did not intend to fulfil his five-year contract, at least that's according to his dad.
Before making the switch to the Premier League champions, Haaland Snr discussed the clubs that were keeping tabs on the coveted forward. "On our list, I think City is the best team," he added. Real Madrid are claimed to be long-standing admirers of the striker, yet the arrival of Kylian Mbappe might suggest there is no place for Haaland in the team. Nevertheless, Real Madrid icon Guti has openly expressed his desire for Haaland to join the new era of Galacticos.
