Axel Rudakabana killed the three young girls at a Taylor Swift dance class last summer
These are the children who tragically died following the horrific attack at a Taylor Swift-themed class in The Hart Space, on a small business park in the seaside town of Southport , shortly before midday on July 29.
Summer riots which saw violence across the country were sparked by the stabbings carried out by Rudakubana. Within hours of his attack, false posts spread on the internet which claimed the suspect was a 17-year-old asylum seeker, who had come to the country by boat last year. The terrorism offence relates to a PDF file entitled Military Studies In The Jihad Against The Tyrants, The Al Qaeda Training Manual which he is said to have possessed between August 29 2021 and July 30 2024.
The families will have the opportunity to attend court on Thursday, when Rudakubana will be sentenced. There, they will see Mr Justice Goose jail the 18-year-old for life - a sentenced passed on all convicted of murder in this country. They said her passion was cheerleading and that she was persistent in completing charity challenges. The tribute continued: "Elsie has brought light, love and joy to so many lives and it has been clear to us in the overwhelming response from everybody that knew her and everybody within the community."
