20th Century Studios releases a new trailer for Fede Álvarez's Alien: Romulus, which releases in theaters this August.
“The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful Alien franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” the synopsis for the film reads., who is best known for making the Evil Dead remake that was released in 2013.
Álvarez co-wrote co-wrote the screenplay for Alien: Romulus with Rodo Sayagues. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O’Connor, and Tom Moran, while Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, and Walter Hill serve as producers. Alien: Romulus isn’t the only Xenomorph-starring project fans have to look forward to as Noah Hawley is also working on an Alien series for FX on Hulu.
