Alison Goldfrapp packed on the layers for her TRNSMT performance on Sunday despite the sweltering temperatures.
Wearing a multi-coloured coat, the London-born star glammed it up in her own unique way but struggled to get the crowd enthusiastic for her performance.
Kicking off her TRNSMT Sunday set with Love Invention, taken from her 2023 debut solo album of the name, the 58-year-old then launched into the epic disco hit Ride A White Horse.Wearing black shades throughout her performance, she said: “Thank you. You can move around as well, you know do stuff.” She then added: “It’s very nice to be here and unexpectedly warm. I thought I would just double up in a few layers, as you do.”
In a final attempt to hype up the crowd, the singer said: “Let’s see those butts moving, c’mon Glasgow,” as she launched into So Hard So Hot.Goldfrapp has an incredible voice, her range and tone is what makes that infectious sound she is known for, something she showcased beautifully on Ooh La La which deserved more energy than she was getting from the flat crowd.Comments & Moderation
