However, the pair sparked split rumors after spending the Christmas period apart. David posted holiday snaps from a sunny beach abroad, while Alison stayed in the UK to continue her pantomime stint. She's been dazzling audiences at Birmingham's Hippodrome, playing the Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan, during a demanding 65-show run. OK! has contacted Alison's representatives for comment. In an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine, she dismissed concerns about their age gap, insisting that they complement each other perfectly and that the term 'toyboy' doesn't reflect their dynamic at all. 'I can see how, on paper, you'd notice the age difference,' she said. 'But honestly, when we see the word 'toyboy' written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all. Yes, I'm 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you'd understand,' reports the Mirror. It seems the This Morning star wasn't always open to going public about her love life. It was only a year after secretly dating that Alison and her beau, David, made their romance known, a revelation kicked off by none other than her co-host, Dermot O'Leary. In a cheeky exchange on the show in May 2023, Dermot hinted at Alison's taken status with a playful nudge, saying she was 'no longer available.' The banter escalated as a cryptic Alison fired back: 'What do you mean I'm not available..'
