Alison Hammond, the 49-year-old TV favourite, has revealed her fitness journey to Good Housekeeping magazine. After discovering she was pre-diabetic, she decided to seek help from a personal trainer twice a week and adopted a healthier diet, leading to a significant improvement in her health.
This Morning's Alison Hammond has opened up about her fitness journey , revealing that she didn't want to resort to weight loss medication. The 49 year old telly favourite began working with a personal trainer twice a week after discovering she was pre-diabetic, and she's now no longer in the pre-diabetic range and is loving her "new shape".
Alison admitted, "I thought ‘I have to be an adult about this’. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods." She shared her routine, saying, "Twice a week I see my personal trainer, and I have a couple of weights in my bedroom." I walk, I stretch and sometimes I do a bit of yoga. I try to vary it so it’s not the same every day."
On the topic of weight loss medication, she expressed, "I think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing. But for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened. So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did." She exclaimed, "I’m no longer pre-diabetic, so I’m a bit naughtier with my food now.
