Summary Deadpool & Wolverine featured several notable cameos, but one potentially set up a future in the MCU for the original Blade actor, Wesley Snipes. Long before the MCU began, Marvel movies were made by various studios who bought the rights to a handful of characters each. While Sony got Spider-Man, and Universal claimed Hulk, New Line Cinema was one of the first to release a theatrical Marvel film with Blade in 1998, starring Wesley Snipes.
