All Creatures Great and Small fans saw Mrs Hall take on a new role in the village last week, which didn't go down well with her boss Siegfried Farnon
The fifth series of All Creatures Great and Small has launched on Channel 5, with viewers watching the continuation of James Herriot's service in the RAF.
Actor Samuel West, who plays Siegfried Farnon, openly shared that his character struggled with this change, especially in regards to Mrs Hall's new superior, Mr Bosworth . "And he oversteps the mark in trying to protect somebody he would see as staff but also as a friend." The character was last seen in an emotional farewell at the end of season three as he left to serve in the war.
