All My Children actor Jeffrey Carlson dead aged 48
News of his death was announced on Twitter on Saturday by Time Out New York theatre editor Adam Feldman.
He later added a comment to his own tweet, writing: "I first saw him in a Lee Blessing play called Thief River when he was still in Juilliard and it was clear he was something special."Tributes poured in for Jeffrey on Adam's post, as actor Malin Ireland wrote: "Devastated to hear of this. A wonderful friend and brilliant actor. We did a play together many years ago and he dazzled me.
A fourth commented: "I saw his final performance in The Goat. He was simply wonderful. How terribly sad. Love and strength to his family, friends, and colleagues." Jeffrey's mother is thought to have been a huge fan of All My Children, the American television soap opera that aired on ABC from January 5, 1970, to September 23, 2011.
