Seven Everton players are spending the current campaign away from Goodison Park in order to experience first-team football
Everton striker Neal Maupay completed a deadline day loan move to Brentford, adding to the list of players that sealed temporary exits from Goodison Park.
With the Blues having brought in Beto from Udinese, as well as youngster Youssef Chermiti, the club allowed Maupay to join former club Brentford on loan, with the option of a permanent deal. In his previous spell with the Bees, the Frenchman scored 41 goals in 95 games, but is waiting to make his second debut for the west London club, who are in need of striking reinforcements due to Ivan Toney’s ongoing ban for betting offences.
Holgate, 26 will hope to be part of a promotion charge at St. Mary’s but made his debut in a dismal 5-0 defeat to Sunderland, prior to the international break. Steven Schumacher’s side are full of confidence, having won League One last year, and currently sit 10th in the table after the first five games. Warrington may have to bide his time in order to gain an opportunity, having been limited to a 10-minute cameo so far.
