People may be told to leave certain areas of Sefton by police
Police have been given extra powers ahead of Halloween. A total of ten dispersal zones will be in place across Sefton from today until Friday, November 1. The dispersal orders will cover Birkdale , Bootle , Crosby , Aintree , Formby , Litherland and Seaforth, Maghull , Netherton , Waterloo and Southport . Officers will be in the area to provide a visible presence and deal with any incidents. Officers will be present in Birkdale from 4pm today to 4pm on Friday, November 1.
The zone will cover the area bounded by Boundary Road, Sterrix Lane, Gorsey Lane, Leeds to Liverpool Canal, Rimrose Borrk, Cambridge Road, A565 Crosby Rd South, Peel Rd, Norton Street, Knowsley Road, Linacre Lane and A5038 Netherton Way. In Maghull, the order is in place from 3pm today to 3pm on Friday, November 1. The zone covers Green Lane, Dodds Lane, Ormonde Drive, Broadwood Avenue, Hall Lane, Old Hall Road and Moss Lane. Netherton will be covered from 4pm today to 4pm on Friday 1 November.
