May's local elections are the last big electoral test for all the political parties
Candidates will be standing in 12 wards across the borough - including representatives from Labour, Conservative, the Green Party, Workers Part and Reform UK.
The polls will be open on May 2 from 7am until 10pm – and voters must take a suitable form of photo ID with them in order to cast their ballot in person. Proxy votes can also be obtained in some circumstances – meaning someone else can vote on your behalf if you cannot make it to a polling station for a limited number of reasons.Across England, more than 2,500 council seats will be up for grabs in 107 local authorities.
