70 mph gusts will batter some UK coastal spots this weekend
Weather warnings have been issued for snow, wind and rain, with stormy conditions set to sweep across the UK this weekend.
On Saturday , almost the entire west coast of England and Scotland and all of Northern Ireland will be hit by strong winds of up to 70 mph in places. The Met Office said the conditions could cause a small risk of danger to life and injuries. The yellow warning is in place from 8am to 10pm on Saturday and also brings a chance of travel disruption, power cuts and road closures.
However, things will be different in other parts of the country with the Met Office saying warm air will see temperatures rise across the UK. Some parts of East Anglia and Southeast may see temperatures of 21C or 22C on Saturday.
