British heavyweights Dave Allen and Johnny Fisher are set to clash in a highly anticipated fight in Riyadh. Allen, seeking a resurgence in his career, faces a tough challenge against undefeated prospect Fisher.
Saturday's main event is one of four heavyweight contests on the card in Riyadh. Fireworks are expected when British rivals Dave Allen and Johnny Fisher square off. Allen, 32, has 31 fights under his belt and has flirted with retirement on several occasions, while prospect Fisher is yet to lose in 12 trips to the ring. Victory for Allen could reignite his career as he seeks a third successive win after losing to Frazer Clarke in September 2023, however, a loss might bring the curtain down.
Allen has suffered defeats to top contenders like Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz, but upset Lucas Browne, who briefly held the WBA Regular title before failing a drug test. 'I don't want to live a life of regret,' Allen told BBC Sport. 'I want to know how good I am. 'I fell short at the top level which I don't mind saying. I beat a former champion but he was past his best so I never knew how good I was. 'With Fisher I think the best version of me can beat this fella because he's only a baby.
