Eagle Pass firefighters spotted an alligator in the Rio Grande this week during a training session on the river — and it was captured on video. “Just a friendly reminder that our local wildlife isn’t as friendly as we are and to be cautious around the river banks,” says a caption on a video posted Monday on the Eagle Pass Fire Department Facebook page. The video of the alligator sighting was taken during a morning training session, the post says.
