Almost 20 new homes have been delivered to tenants near Glasgow.

The new homes come as part of the council's ambitious new supply programme which aims to deliver 5,000 new houses by 2035.The contract for the homes - which is being delivered by Cruden - is valued at £4.1million and is being supported by £1.64million of Scottish Government grant funding.She said: “My son uses a wheelchair and this new house has really improved his overall quality of life.

"We’ve delivered 1,351 new homes for tenants and construction is underway on 9 sites across the North Lanarkshire area. "From helping tackle fuel poverty with our energy efficiency measures to making our homes more accessible and able to adapt to suit tenants and their families, we are building homes for the future.
