South Ayrshire bosses have hailed a fantastic weekend as the sun shone on thousands of revellers.
It's estimated that almost a quarter-of-a-million people attended the Ayr Show over the weekend, as council chiefs admit being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of visitors.
Families, children and aviation enthusiasts all packed into the Festival Village as they looked up to the skies to see iconic aircraft fly over and perform daring stunts. Ayrshire Live previously reported how car parks swelled with motors as Ayr sizzled in the sunshine. Chaos ensued, with thousands of motors left queuing for hours following the main event.
“Friday and Saturday’s aerial displays were spectacular and the range of entertainment and activities that were on offer throughout the weekend were second to none."
